The Fellowship carries a monthly grant of 2700 euros to cover all the expenses related to the research visit that can range from one to three months. The research visits should take place between 1 February and 17 July 2015. Central Asia Fellowships at the Aleksanteri Institute are intended for scholars who reside outside of Finland. The deadline for applications is 28 October, 2014.
The Aleksanteri Institute is the Finnish Centre for Russian and Eastern European studies and an independent institute of the University of Helsinki. The Institute is also coordinating a Centre of Excellence funded by the Academy of Finland, entitled “Choices of Russian Modernisation”.
